Floyd Training Center provides Grant-in-Aid services through DBHDD which include Family Support, Community Access, Supported Employment, Specialized Medical Supplies, and Pre Vocational Services. The difference with this service is funding for these services comes from DBHDD rather than the NOW or COMP Medicaid Waiver program.
Family Support and State Funded services provide the same services as the NOW/COMP waiver does such as SEG, SEI, CAG, CAI, etc. However, the key difference is that the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) pays the provider for the services provided instead of Medicaid. Typically, those that our receiving this type of services or either eligible for the NOW/COMP waiver and waiting for their services to be switched, or they are not eligible for the NOW/COMP waiver but still need supports.
