Established in 1970, the FTC is a private, non-profit corporation and a contract agency with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

Floyd Training and Service Center (FTC) receives its funding from three sources: Grant-in-Aid; and either the Comp or Now Medicaid Waiver.
